RIVER POLITICAL SAGA by activist OGODOGUN The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara following the presentation of a notice of alleged gross misconduct during plenary on Wednesday. The notice was formally read to the House by the Majority Leader, Major Jack, marking the official start of the constitutional process against the governor. According to the lawmakers, the allegations against Governor Fubara include the demolition of the Rivers State House of Assembly complex, engagement in extra-budgetary spending without legislative approval, and the alleged withholding of funds meant for the Assembly Service Commission.  A WOMAN SOLD HER  BABY FOR 1.5m TO A PASTOR. The incident, which occurred in Uvwie Local Government Area, was confirmed on Thursday by the Executive Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Security, Engr. Emmanuel Udoka Chika-dibia praised the police for their prompt response and professionalism in handling the sensitive case. Chika-dibia explained that the matter was first reported at the Ekpan Police Division as the disappearance of an infant.  BAYELSA DEPUTY GOVERNOR IS DEAD  Bayelsa State  has been thrown into shock following the sudden death of  Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo . The Former Senator slumped in his office around midday and was immediately rushed to the  Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa , where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Eyewitnesses and officials at the  Bayelsa Government House  said the deputy governor collapsed unexpectedly while attending to official duties. His death has also been confirmed by  Lere Olayinka , Media Aide to the FCT Minister,  Ezenwo Nyesom Wike . Efforts to revive him at the hospital were unsuccessful.
